Do you offer Seniors Discount?

Absolutely yes we do. We offer a 10% discount for food and drink. Simply produce your Seniors Discount Card, Seniors Business Discount Card and Carer Business Discount Card to the staff serving you. If you are ordering for more than one senior please produce each person’s seniors discount card to staff as the discount is for one item per seniors card. Please note this discount is not available in conjunction with any other discount or promotion.

Where do your profits go?

We are a not-for profit community club with our profits going towards saving lives on Coolum Beach. So by supporting your local club you are helping us save lives. With these funds we purchase much needed life-saving equipment and keep all of our volunteers fully trained in all aspects of Surf Life Saving. In 2014/15 season – 116 rescues, 1606 preventative actions and over 80,000 visitations to our great beach.. Remember if we can’t see you we can’t save you so please always swim between the red and yellow flags. We had 232 patrolling members who volunteered 9011 hours to keep our beach safe

What time are you open?

  • Club Hours: Mon-Thu 10am-9pm, Fri & Sat 10am-Midnight, Sun 8am – 9pm
  • Restaurant Hours: Mon-Thu 12-2.30pm & 5.30-8pm, Fri & Sat 12-2.30pm & 5.30-8.30pm, Sunday 12-2.30 & 5.30pm to 8pm,
  • Sunday Breakfast: 8am to 10.30am
  • Cafe Hours: Mon – Thu 10am-8pm, Fri & Sat 10am-8.30pm, Sun 8am-8pm
  • Pizza Hours: Sun to Thu 12 noon to 8pm and on Fri & Sat 12 noon to 9pm

Why do we have to sign in?

As we are a not-for profit community club it is a stipulated government law that if you come into a Club you need to either sign in as a visitor if you live outside of a 15km radius or be signed in by a member or simply become a member yourself.

How do I become a member and how much does it cost?

Simply fill out a little bit of paperwork at reception. The cost is $10 per year and you get some fantastic discounts on food and drinks as well as a birthday card to cover the cost of membership and other great benefits.

Are you reciprocal with other clubs?

Yes we are Reciprocal with most clubs in Australia and New Zealand. Simply show our friendly reception staff your valid reciprocal members card and you will not need to sign in. You are also able to sign in visitors as well as having access to our fantastic bottle shop for take-away purchases. Please note that you may be asked to produce a valid form of identification that matches your Reciprocal card.

Do I get discounts as a reciprocal member of another club?

Unfortunately not. Please join our club today for just $10 for 12 months and enjoy great discounts and benefits straight away.

What sort of ID do I require to sign in?

A current driver’s license for both proof of age and residency. An 18 plus card with other documentation confirming your residential address. A valid Australian passport with other documentation confirming your residential address. If you are from overseas then a current foreign passport or foreign driver’s license will suffice.

What’s your dress code?

No singlets for men, no tradesman work clothes after 8pm, no hats, hoods or beanies within the club however hats may be worn on the outside decks for sun protection only.

Do you have entertainment?

Yes we do. We have live music every Friday night from 6pm until midnight and then on Saturday night we have a DJ from 9pm until Midnight. We also have live music on the last Sunday of the month. Other entertainment includes, Trivia, Bingo, TAB, Keno and Pokies.

What time can I have the children here until?

9pm Sun-Thu and 9:30pm Fri and Sat.

Do you have a courtesy bus?

No, however the taxi services in the area are very quick and efficient. You just need to dial 131008 to book a taxi. 

How do I become a life saver?

Contact our Surf Life-Saving administration office between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday on 07 5446 1148 ext 7 for all the information you require. Surf Lifesaving enquiries: lifesaving@coolumsurfclub.com.au

What time does Bingo start and how much does it cost?

Bingo sign on is from 8.30am on Thursday with eyes down at 9am. A cost for a book is $3 with morning tea provided.

What time does Trivia start and how much does it cost?

Trivia sign on is from 6.30pm on Tuesday night for a 7pm start. Entry is FREE of charge and there are some great prizes up for grabs. Singles and Teams are welcome to enter. 

Where do I park when I come to the club?

The is a small car park beside the club as well as lots of off street parking which has a two hour limit. There is also a very close and very large car park at tickle park with no time limit. If you still cannot find a space you can try the car park on Frank Street all of these are a short 2 minute walk from our great Club.

 Do you have a kids playroom?

 

 No. However we do have activity packs available for the kids which are free when you dine with us and we also have colouring in competitions and FREE WI-FI. We also give a free soft drink and jelly cup with each kids meal.

Can the children eat in the bar/Lounge area?

Yes however they must remain supervised at all times.
